So many things in this book tugged at my heart – the military hero who gave up everything to serve and protect, the heroine who didn’t know and grieved for her lost love, the daughter who never should have been in danger. But CJ Snyder put the all the pieces back together again in the end. I don’t want to give too much away, but Max has to fake his own death for the US Government and give up the only girl he ever loved. Now it’s years later and the past follows them and puts them all in danger. It’s an intense and very emotional ride. Highly recommended read. By DenverBookWorm on Amazon.com
